Chick-fil-A is under attack right now by the radical homosexual lobby because
Dan Cathy, the son of Chick-fil-A founder Truett Cathy, made a simple statement
of faith: “I think we are inviting God’s judgment on our nation when we
shake our fist at Him and say, we know better than you as to what constitutes a
marriage.”
And in response, the "proponents of tolerance" have called him a "hater," a
"bigot" and have claimed that he is engaging in discriminatory behavior; and, it
should go without saying, that the accusations are simply not true. Agree or
not, there's nothing hateful in what he said.
As a man of deep faith, Cathy knows that "all have sinned and fall short of the
glory of God," (Romans 3:23) and does not discriminate or treat any of God's
children with derision or disrespect; but the "proponents of tolerance" do not
tolerate any man or woman who disagrees with their worldview and have no respect
for the freedoms of speech and religious expression guaranteed by our Creator
and codified in the Constitution.
In the past few days, Chick-fil-A and Dan Cathy have been the subject of false
and defamatory attacks. Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel, the
Jim Henson Company and
Boston Mayor Thomas M. Menino have already come out against Cathy; and
more weak-kneed corporations and government officials are certain to follow suit
in the coming days.
Make no mistake, those who refuse to "tolerate" Cathy's faith want Chick-fil-A
out of business. The thousands that would be put out of work, the students who
receive college scholarships for working at Chick-fil-A, and those who benefit
as a result of the millions of dollars Chick-fil-A gives to charity every year,
mean nothing to these "proponents of tolerance."
All opposition must be stomped under the boots of political correctness and the
personal cost to others is not relevant to those who advance our brave new
world. That's how tyranny works; and yet, in the face of this persecution, Cathy
is standing firm; and because of his firm stance, he deserves the respect and
admiration of ever American who values religious liberty.
But more than respect and admiration, he needs Americans like you to stand with
him because when you stand for Cathy and Chick-fil-A, you are also taking a
stand for yourself, your future and your beliefs.
While we don't always advocate boycotts, we have no reservation in advocating a
buycott; so again, mark your calendars, and spread the word. On August 1, 2012,
everyone who loves freedom and liberty should grab a meal at their nearest
Chick-fil-A.

This is disgusting what these leftists are trying to do to Chick-Fil-A. It is indeed an afront to freedom. I'm definitely going to Chick-Fil-A as much as possible. Their food's good anyway!
ReplyDeleteThis is just a small sample of the ongoing assault on freedom of speech & opinion by intolerant leftists in this country. We conservatives have to fight back against this garbage and refuse to be intimidated.
Additonally, what these authorities are trying to do is patently illegal. It is not illegal to oppose homosexuality and the redefinition of marriage and Chick-Fil-A is perfectly entitled to their position. If the homosexual organizations don't like it, they don't have to frequent Chick-Fil-A.
Amen. Everybody is supposed to have a right to their beliefs, but it appears that it is just horrible for Christains to have any of their own beliefs?? I am glad to see the outpouring of support Chick-Fil-A and hope that it continues.
DeleteWhat happens if you feel Marriage is meant to be between a Man & Woman. Any other type of union is just that a union between a loving couple, and does not earn the right to be labeled a Marriage. Marriage brings with it the creation of a biological offspring. When same sex couples can create children naturally (that means no science or technology used) then the action earns the label of marriage.
ReplyDeleteThat's what I've been saying all along. Let them choose whatever lifestyle they want and call it what thet want, but one thing it is definitely not is marriage
DeleteChik Fil-A is getting my business as much as possible from now on.
ReplyDeleteIt's too bad that I don't live in a state where Chik Fil-A doe's business. If they did I'd be there for breakfast, lunch and dinner just to piss the Nazi-Gays off. I am not suggesting that all gays are Nazis. Just the morons who trample on our First Amendment Rights are the Nazi-Gays.
DeleteTried to contact the company about buying a gift certificate online. Guess their getting swamped with calls. There's a big difference between believing in something and living it in one's own life and believing in something and trying to force it on others. That's the difference between right and left and dare I say Christian and islam.
ReplyDelete50+ years of Indoctrination has put Americans, in this position, wrong is right, right is wrong, moral values are bad, immoral values are good, freedom is bad Communism is good . By not teaching the Constitution and the Freedoms it protects, we allow them to destroy the Constitution and its promises, and we become a two layer society. One small group, who enjoy everything, and the rest of us under their absolute control, including life and death!
ReplyDeleteI just stopped at Chick fil a today and it was packed. People lined up outside to oreder food..standing room only and my order was in front of me before I even finished paying for it!! Too bad the new media didn't think it was worthy of their attention on the nightly news. Way to go Cathy family..the American people stand behind you. I hope the negative publicity doubles your bottom line for the year. Neat thing was being in a place with lots of Christians. No grumbling about long lines everyone was friendly!!! You have just become my fast food place of choice :-) GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR WONDERFUL STAFF!!!!
ReplyDeleteWELL SAID!!! we go to CFA while we live in Fl. but do not have one where we live in PA, but one thing sure, I WILL NOT be visiting Boston or Chicago at any time!
DeleteGod Bless the Cathy family for their beliefs!
Whatever the left says - do the opposite and you can't go wrong.
ReplyDelete"Whatever the left says - do the opposite and you can't go wrong."
DeleteA philosophy to live by!
I will definitely go to Chick-fil-a on Aug. 1st and every day there after! This is a horrible thing what the left is doing. They will pay for this one day!! I wonder what planet those lefties came from??? Actually, this is a devious Administration! We need to get them out of office yesterday. God bless America!!!
ReplyDeleteMr. Cathy did not go out looking to spread his belief, he was asked and as an honest man answered with his opioion, or belief. It certainly looks like the left is trying to mock those who do not go along while they espouse tolerance to gays, and Muslims. and illegals, but not Christians. Interesting and scary.
ReplyDeleteI ate at Chick-Fil-A a while back because I heard they were a faith based company. Although I'm not a fast food guy anymore, and I wasn't overwhelmed by the food, I will definitely be there Aug 1 to support the free speech rights of Mr. Cathy. I expect to stand in a long, long line and the longer it is, the happier I will be.
ReplyDeleteYou know one way you can reassure yourself that God is True and Jesus is His Son is by the utter visceral loathing the enemy evidences; especially if you want to pray silently in public. It really is a defining moment now in America's history and the Christians and others who know homosexuality is wrong and against the laws of nature and of God have to stand and refuse to move. God forgive America. I just hope it is not too late. See you on August 1st.
ReplyDeleteAll of you on this blog are just wonderful people! I don't have a Chick-fil-A in my neighborhood, but I wished I did. I will be thinking and praying for those who go on Aug 1st. God Bless You All and God Bless America!
ReplyDeleteA Chik-Fil-et is opening in my neighborhood - was not planning to go there much because there is a sensational take out chicken place across the street from it - but now I think will go there once in a while because I am sure the leftists that live in this California neighborhood will boycott it - and I do not want to be lumped with them.
ReplyDeleteWish we could get a Chick Fil in our Calif. county. It would be a nice addition and esp since we already know the franchising people are of good moral character and principles.
ReplyDeleteI'll just bet that if they advertise, their ads wouldn't be suggestive and filled w sexual inneuendos and immoral scenes like Carls Jr.'s.
We don't have a Chick Fil A close enough to go for a meal during the week......BUT, if there were, we'd be there to support them and their courageous stand for Christian beliefs....We need more people like that.....Not afraid to take a stand for what is right.
ReplyDeleteWe went to a local Chick-fil=a yesterday and it was packed. Friendly people and a good-fast service helped with such a crowd. This is a family business that began in a little suburb south of Atlanta years ago.It was always family oriented and no one have the rigth to crucify them for what they believe and practice. If they don't want to buy their product, nobody is forcing them to do so, but let go of the name calling and antagonism. We areALL free to do what we want if we respect the rigths of others , Be civilized because if we loose our freedom pretty soon you will loose yours too.
ReplyDeleteIf Adam & Eve had been gay, none of us would be here. Enough said.
ReplyDeleteAmerica is the last major stronghold for Christianity--if America comes down--the world will have lost what the gospel(good news)proclaims -- freedom instead of bondage. Satan wants us to be in bondage--to his way, his beliefs, his capturing of us!
ReplyDeleteThis is why there is such a drive to oppose anyone who stands up for righteousness; well let the chips fall where they might--I am going to serve the LORD. And I don't care what anyone thinks!!! And I will not be silenced!!! CRANK IT UPPPP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
On the same page, while we support the great cause, we have to "unsupport" those that are so outspoken for values that are unchristian! Turn off NBC, Don't shop JC Penny, Drop Amazon, turn off Charlie Sheen turn off "the new Normal etc......
ReplyDeleteHow uplifting all these comments are! Thank you all for your support because I feel encouraged for the first time in a long time.
ReplyDeleteI am proud of Cathy for being honest and answering the question, not being intimidated by someone who imposed "blackmail" on his business. We must stand up for our freedom to "disagree" with these left-wing liberals who demand "it's their way or we will punish you." Our freedom is written in our Constitution; which gives each of us that right to worship and freedome of speech. Our forefathers fought in wars for each person to have that right. Non Christians, (and those who only claim to be Christians), don't know how to "agree to disagree." They have no guidlines on how to communicate, how to accept people who have a different opinion than theirs. You have to be a knowledgeable, mature adult to know how to "agree to disagree." I find liberals attitude childish, selfish and and it shows their insecurity as a person. Their ignorance is always dominate in a conversation; it's always "blame someone else." They invariably are all about "me, myself and I." That is the opposite of what our Bible teaches us. Christians!!!Let's demand our rights to worship God freely. Our young children and grandchildren will suffer most from this division.
