[Video] Obama Slaps Stay-At-Home Moms
If you're a woman who would rather raise your children at home, Barack Obama has
a message for you: "That’s not a choice we want Americans to make... So let’s
make this happen... let’s enroll 6 million children in high-quality preschool."
So much for Democrats being "pro-choice."
He was commenting on the women having to choose which way to go. It is not a "slap in face" It is that the women need the resources to exercise THEIR choice, and not be forced to choose to give up their career because quality child care is not available. Get the WHOLE article, not just a deliberately cherry picked piece that is used to create a false story.
ReplyDeleteSometimes when women 'give up' their career to raise their children, it's usually because that mom doesn't want to work just to pay for child care. Child care and a good preschool are really expensive.
ReplyDeleteAnd sometimes, moms stay home because they want to raise their children themselves. Sometimes, even women who work would like the option to stay home--if the household income would allow it. Obama just thinks that the government knows better than all of us since we are all not as smart as he is. He puts his children in private schools--where they do not have to abide by Michelle's scrawny lunch program--and then wants to tell us how to live, where to live, what to drive and what to eat. Perhaps mom's need to make decisions based on what is best for their families and tell the government to back off and get out of our lives.
