Government Forcing Christians To Shut Down Their Businesses

While millions of Americans have simply given up looking for a job, others have decided to create their own ... by starting a business. Unfortunately, Christian entrepreneurs are being shut down and financially ruined for their faith.

(WND) Working in the wedding business always has been stressful but now there are new worries for Christians who hold a traditional view of marriage – they could be sued, fined or even put out of business if they refuse to provide service to a same-sex couple.

Just in the last two years, dozens of cake makers, photographers, florists and even farmers have been forced by state governments to provide their services to same-sex couples wanting to get “married.”

If they refuse, they are told they must offer their services to both heterosexual and homosexual couples, or not offer them at all.

For Cynthia and Robert Gifford, owners of Liberty Ridge Farm in Schaghticoke, New York, it was an easy decision. While their main business is growing vegetables, they occasionally host marriage ceremonies in the lower level of their house and outdoors in a field. When a lesbian couple called to book the farm for their “wedding,” Cynthia politely declined.

But the couple secretly recorded the phone conversation and then immediately filed a complaint with the New York Division of Human Rights. Liberty Ridge Farm was fined $13,000 and ordered to start serving same-sex clients or none at all.

  1. It is time for Christians, and other religious, to find out which businesses are owned by homosexuals, their friends and others who cater to the homosexual community, and boycott these businesses. Show them how it feels when we live our faith, over killing businesses for their lifestyle. If they want to be intolerant towards religious groups that do not support the homosexual lifestyle, then we have the right not to be tolerant towards those who do. They can get peace from us by leaving Christian businesses alone and we will go back to shopping at their friends' businesses. Like California trying to go against the ACA and force christian organizations and businesses to go against their religious belief, even after the supreme court once for all stood with religious prople. The homos need todo the same.

    1. Keep you faith in you home and your church, and you will not have any problems. When you go into business, you have to follow the rules, like it or not.

  2. The First Amendment prohibits regulating free expression of religion! Every one of the commie leftist judges who have sided with the perverts has violated the constitutional rights of the religious business owners, and should be removed from the bench!

  3. This prove that we are no longer a free country. When evil and immoral wins like homosexuals for marriage we need to pray to God for salvation now.
