Ferguson Protestors Promise More Civil Disobedience In Coming Days

They promise their disobedience will be "non-violent" but their claims ring hollow...

(Washington Examiner) Police and protesters in St. Louis were gearing up Sunday for more civil disobedience after 17 people were arrested during weekend demonstrations over fatal police shootings in the area and elsewhere.

Organizers for “Ferguson October,” a four-day series of marches, panels and demonstrations that began Friday, were training protesters Sunday for more nonviolent, civil disobedience action, St. Louis Fox TV affiliate KTVI reported.

"Non-violence is really important because you’re not going to change someone's mind by being violent," Jasmin Maurer, who is taking part in the training, told the station. "There is just so much more power in taking a stand and doing it nonviolently."

A focal point of the demonstrations has been the Aug. 9 fatal shooting of 18-year-old Michael Brown, who was black and unarmed, by a white officer in the St. Louis suburb of Ferguson.

  1. Enough is enough, Ferguson has it to a point most are now rooting for the Police. They want to damage where they live that's fine but don't expect taxpayer dollars to fix it. You broke it, YOU fix it. We have enough to worry about with ISIS and Ebola, and 500 kids that may have caught this virus by the illegals pouring over our border, along with TB. You should totally be ashamed of yourselves. Stop making it all about you. You need to pray and get on the right side of God.

    1. Too bad they don't put as much emphasis on teaching their children respect for law and order. You see it all over the place -- it doesn't matter what the police do these people will blame them. In my home area two police officers on patrol and were ambushed. When they caught the two asses, their friends and others in the African American community tried to blame the police. The community as a whole strood up for the police with facts showing who really was at fault. The radicals backed down -- the funeral of the officer who died was so large they had to move it. And the two who shot them are now facing 1st degree murder charges. The asses in Ferguson don't want justice, they want revenge for a young man who may have been at fault for hs own killing.

  2. It is time we put the privilege African American community backed in their place. The two young 18 years killed by the police were thugs and attack the police Unfortunately for us the police are believe to be killers by the African American community and belong in jail.

  3. And they wonder why the public has such a negative attitude towards them.
I want to know who is paying these people to protest and who is funding the food and lodging for all of these protesters, and why aren't these people working or in school?
