Rush Gives GOP Ultimatum On ObamaCare

Rush: "The danger in saying that we need an alternative to ObamaCare is that the alternative, given today's Republicans, would be based on the current Obamacare template, or premise, which is with the government running it."

"'We'll just do it in a smarter, better way.' No. Whatever happens, the whole notion that the government is front and center in health care needs to be erased."

  1. He is right. Government can not run anything and the proof is in the pudding. Just look at the Post Office, Medicare and SS.
Waste, fraud and abuse is ramped .
Plus I don't feel the government needs to know my medical history, they will use it all for evil.

    2. Yes yes yes the government needs to go out of the way, far away and tend to what it is meant to take care of, like defending the country and few other things.

  3. Our current insurance industry (before obamacare) was not too bad. Make changes and keep government out of things is our only hope.

  4. This bumbling administration is best at lying to the people their accomplishments are absolutely none.

  5. Dale Hetzler: "Our current insurance industry (before obamacare) was not too bad." - I found the high yearly premium increases pretty bad.

  6. We don't want government in anyway in control or running any health care programs. Obamacare has got to be stopped NO fixes.

  7. Rush is absolutely right. And while we are pulling the government plug on ObamaCare all government health care programs for all taxpayer funded offices (local, state, federal) will now be terminated. The Senators and House of Representatives health programs will be terminated. The seven to ten million canceled private health care policies will be re-instated by private sector health care insurance carriers and paid for by all Senators and Representatives who voted for ObamaCare and the recent OmniBus budget bill.

  8. We should close the bureaucracies - put the day to day functions of the government up for bid to private industry.

  9. Rush gets an A+ - we do NOT want the federal government to ruin the very best healthcare in the world. People come from all over the world to get - so the proof is in the pudding my mother would have said.

    1. We do not need Obama or unaffordable healthcare headed by a bunch of liberal buffoons like are allegedly at the helm of this disaster. No thanks Pelosi, reid, Boehner and of course mc Nutless McCain. I have not heard of any senators or reps signing on for better care!!!!!! So, how good can it be???????

  10. Rush is right. Even the corporations should not be involved in providing health care. That dates back to WWII. According to the Wikipedia article "Health Insurance in the United States" --

"When the War Labor Board declared that fringe benefits, such as sick leave and health insurance, did not count as wages for the purpose of wage controls, employers responded with significantly increased offers of fringe benefits, especially health care coverage, to attract workers."

So the government itself began the process of this monster getting out of control. Now they're going to "fix" it (typical!).

When I was a child in the 50s, our family doctor would make house calls (!) at any wee hour of the night for the then princely sum of $5. My parents were far from wealthy (a school teacher, and a student) but it was something they could afford (thanks, folks; RIP).

  11. There will always be power mongers and control freaks in government. It is a constant battle between common sense and the loss of fredoms to the power mongers. Unfortunately, the non-representing "representatives" in Congress have decided to become power mongers themselves!
