(Examiner) Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., isn't making many friends among the conservative wing of the Republican Party these days. In an interview published Tuesday at the New Republic, he slammed the Tea Party, called Fox News "schizophrenic" on certain issues and called Hillary Clinton a "rock star."

He also said that in a presidential matchup between Hillary Clinton and Rand Paul, he would have a tough time deciding who to support.

"I think she did a fine job," he said of Clinton's performance as Secretary of State despite the scandal surrounding the Benghazi terror attack.

"She’s a rock star. She has, maybe not glamour, but certainly the aura of someone widely regarded throughout the world.

    3. He IS a democrat....pretending to be Republican. I used to think that McCain somehow came out OK after being a POW....but I don't think so now. He doesn't make sense most of the time, so somehow he is not thinking straight. Does he really believe the socialist Hillary is a rock star??? His brain is all screwed up and he should retire before he does more damage to our Country.

    5. McCain is a traitor == he may as well go on to the Democratic party as he certainly is a RINO! He makes me sick at my stomach and to think I actually voted for him to be President. Of course, he would have been better than what we have, but not by much if he thinks Hillary is a "star" -- she is a star alright, a nasty witch!

    6. John - thank you so much for your service to our country. Now, retire, go home, and quit trying to destroy the ONLY philosophy that offers ANY hope for the future of the country you once served.

  4. He is the poster child for senility. He is living proof there should be term limits in Congress.
Time to go old man, you've outlived your usefulness and your mind.

  6. People in the U.S. voted for Obama, people in Arizona voted for McCain. That doesn't speak well for the brain power of the American people. I didn't and I'm sure you folks didn't vote for them but "enough" people did in order to get them elected. We need to figure out why Americans are voting for people like this and come up with a serum for that illness.

  9. McCain is just echoing Karl Rove in the January 15 Wall Street Journal. Don Feder wrote a deep and devastating (even for him) critique of the recipe for failure Rove and McCain are giving the GOP:
