Governor Andrew Cuomo of New York is facing calls to resign following his comments saying pro-life, pro-gun and pro-marriage people have no business living in the state.

(Life News) As LifeNews reported Friday, Cuomo said the following: You have a schism within the Republican Party. … They’re searching to define their soul, that’s what’s going on. Is the Republican party in this state a moderate party or is it an extreme conservative party? That’s what they’re trying to figure out. It’s a mirror of what’s going on in Washington. The gridlock in Washington is less about Democrats and Republicans. It’s more about extreme Republicans versus moderate Republicans.

You’re seeing that play out in New York. ... The Republican Party candidates are running against the SAFE Act — it was voted for by moderate Republicans who run the Senate! Their problem is not me and the Democrats; their problem is themselves. Who are they? Are they these extreme conservatives who are right-to-life, pro-assault-weapon, anti-gay? Is that who they are? Because if that’s who they are and they’re the extreme conservatives, they have no place in the state of New York, because that’s not who New Yorkers are.

Cuomo said his words don’t extend to moderate Republicans, such as those in the state Senate, who he believes "have a place in their state."

  2. When elected officials feel emboldened to the point they can, in essence, tell those who hold to traditional Christian values to leave the state we are much closer to tyranny. But the good news is that we still have a first amendment right to free speech and free association so I pray the good people of New York will let their voices be heard.

  3. That's funny, the feeling is mutual. I don't feel that the majority of New Yorkers, largely leftist-secular, are representative of what most U.S. citizens are like. As a conservative, I'm aware that I don't belong in New York and will likely never go there again if I can help it.

  6. Who is Mr. Cuomo to tell any American Citizen where he can reside and what views he has the right to hold ? He is Governor over the great State of New York. He is therefore, obliged to treat every single citizen of that great metropolis, New York City, and every town and city in that State with the fairness and dignity that
every one of those citizens deserve. He seems to think that he owns courtesy only to the Progressives, that is, Marxist, elitist hacks, who labor under the delusion that all New Yorkers tout their party line. New York City, is one of the brightest jewels in the crown of this Republic. She is an Amazing and beautiful City which was the beacon of freedom that millions of of immigrants saw as they viewed The Mother of Exiles with her torch telling them they were welcome. The people of the State of New York and particularly the City of New York are the very soul generosity in any threat or Emergency. They have been insulted by the comments of this man. A motion should be drawn up to recall him.
If he cannot treat all equally he should not get the chance to treat even one more person as he did the Conservatives living under his aegis. I am a New Yorker now living out of New York. I will love the City till the day I die. Andrew Cuomo is beneath contempt.
New York derserves so much better. May she live forever.
