Ted Cruz On Impeaching Obama

When a questioner asked Ted Cruz about impeaching Barack Hussein Obama, here is what Cruz said...

(National Review Online) Asked about the possibility of impeaching President Obama, Ted Cruz did not rule it out.

In a question and answer session following a speech he gave at a Montgomery County GOP dinner last night, an audience member asked Cruz, "Why don’t we impeach him [Obama]?"

  1. Every day that Obama continues in office is a day the nation is worse off than the day before. Of course he should be relieved of his duties in another three years because of term limits. But the nation will not have thrived during those months he is still in charge. He should have been impeached when he declared publicly his unwillingness to enforce the DOMA law passed by Congress and signed by President George W. Bush. That was three years back. There have been repeated reasons for impeachment since, and no action, even knowing the Senate wouldn't care regardless of what Obama did or didn't do. If Cruz wouldn't favor impeachment if we had a Republican-majority Senate, I'm curious to know what his reasoning might be.

  3. If we impeach Obama, we will have something just as bad in office. It will not be any better off. If we kill Obamacare we will be a lot better off and the Progressives will be set back a million miles.

  4. Obama has won twice with more than 51% of the votes: The American people decided that Obamcare will come - we will see if it stays.
