House Republicans Vote To Give Obama Dictatorial Power

Apparently, members of Congress aren't that upset over the prospect of an Obama dictatorship after all. On Friday, while no one was watching, Barack Obama signed a bill into law that gives the him, and future presidents, the power to make a broad range of appointments and unilaterally install federal judges onto the bench, without "the advice and consent" of the United States Senate.

The Senate actually passed the bill, which was sponsored by Senator Charles Schumer (D-NY), in 2011 and shockingly, the Republican-controlled House passed the bill by a wide bi-partisan margin of 261-116 in July.

According to the Daily Caller, Thomas McClusky, the senior vice president for the Family Research Council’s legislative arm, which opposed the bill, wrote: “The United States Constitution does not bestow kingly powers on the President to appoint the senior officers of the government with no process."
