Maybe Chick-Fil-A Should Start Selling Pornography

Have you noticed that when sick individuals try to open "adult orientated businesses" in our communities, or fight for the "right" to view pornographic materials over the Internet in our public libraries, liberal politicians scurry like frightened rabbits and falsely try to hide behind the 1st Amendment; but when the CEO of Chick-fil-A, speaking as a private citizen, professes a biblical view of marriage, these cowardly politicians suddenly become enraged, draw a line in the sand and declare, you're not opening that kind of establishment in my town?

We could accurately call it hypocrisy, but even using that strong of a word to describe the duplicity of these liberal politicians would be a denial of what is really going on here.
If anything, this ongoing episode with Chick-fil-A should serve to remove all doubt, once and for all, from the minds of the American people, that liberal politicians are advancing a very specific political agenda and it's not the promotion of the concept that even objectionable speech should be protected in the United States of America.

Their pursuit of Dan Cathy and Chick-fil-A clearly shows that they, unlike conservatives and patriotic Americans, actually believe in tyrannically squelching the rights of others to speak freely and openly and that whenever they hold up the banner of the 1st Amendment that it is nothing more than a ruse.

What was it Saul Alinsky wrote: Make the enemy live up to their own book of rules...?

Perhaps it is finally time for all patriotic Americans to start asking the question: Is it really possible that liberals only seek to promote any idea that is disgusting, oppressive, and has the effect of diminishing our society and destroying our moral traditions and communities?

As you may recall, a few days ago, we documented that Boston Mayor Thomas M. Menino started attempting to blackmail Chick-fil-A into accepting so-call "same-sex marriage" right after Dan Cathy, son of Chick-fil-A founder S. Truett Cathy, gave a positive affirmation of marriage and declared that government's affirmation of so-called "gay marriage" is “inviting God’s judgment on our nation?”

Not to be overshadowed by Mayor Menino, Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel, an ever growing list of public officials and even Jim Henson's Muppets have gotten into the act and are going after Chick-fil-A as well.

As for the politicians, their messages are all pretty much the same: Don't you dare bring your business to my town; and as these liberal politicians show a sudden willingness to go to the mattresses, people are left scratching their heads, wondering whatever happened to the concept that the 1st Amendment protects even objectionable speech?

But more to the point, if Menino and Emanuel's follow through and act on their statements, will they not be engaging in overt violations of the law?

Mat Staver, Founder and Chairman of Liberty Counsel, thank goodness, seems to be examining that question. He recently told WND.com: “To deny business permits or zoning approvals to Chick-fil-A because the president of the privately owned family business expressed his biblical view of natural marriage is outrageous. Any city trying to ban Chick-fil-A will not win this battle.”

"Will not win this battle"? Is Staver volunteering the legal services of Liberty Counsel to actually wage the battle?

We can only hope the answer is yes, but only time will tell.

  1. As Jesus said, Kingdom against Kingdom. Obama opened this door as these liberals feel support fromt he White House. Get ready, God will not be mocked Galatians) and as a nation when Israel did not repent, judgement came. Prayer is the answer "now".
