Of course, Farah made the confession to illustrate a broader point that is
often lost on cradle conservatives... a point that only men like Farah, David
Horowitz and a small group of others understand, simply because, as Farah says
"I understand what Obama is and what he is doing because I was once like him: I
am a former communist."
When people say that Barack Obama is an avowed Marxist and that he is
purposefully attempting to destroy the United States of America to lay the
groundwork for the "transformation" and "change" that he promised the American
people back in 2008, conservative pundits, far too often, roll their eyes and
accuse those who make the contention of engaging in gross hyperbole.
Men like Farah (and Horowitz) know better. They know better because they once
walked the walk and talked the talk. And yes, this writer knows better as well.
While my leftists credentials pale in comparison to Farah's (and Horowitz's), I
too talked the same talk and walked the same walk in my youth. I know Barack
Obama because we share common youthful experiences and beliefs. I know what he
believes and what he plans to do because I lived it and such personal
experiences can't be dismissed.
But Farah expresses it better than I ever could and starts by citing his
credentials: "As a youth growing up during the Vietnam War, I was influenced by
some of the more extreme, anti-American opposition to that conflict and began to
identify with the enemy. I became convinced the U.S. epitomized all that was
evil in the world."
"During high school, I was arrested in what we called 'anti-war demonstrations'
that should be more accurately termed 'anti-American riots.' Just like Obama, my
youthful radicalism attracted the attention of powerful and influential people
in the country."
"I was recruited for full-ride scholarships at colleges like Antioch, known for
grooming the next generation of leftists. When I got into trouble for refusing
to salute the flag, the American Civil Liberties Union was there, johnny-on-the-spot,
to defend me and bring the school principal to his knees."
There's much more. If you only
read one article this entire week, it should be Farah's confession.

It seems that there will need to be a cleansing of all this anti-American trash from our shores once and for all.
ReplyDeleteThere is none so blind, as those who decide not to see.
ReplyDeleteBut some do decide to see again
There are many who have the same tale to tell, I for one...what was it Sir Winston Churchill said...if you're not a liberal when you're 18 you have no heart, if your still a liberal when you're 30 you have no brain...or something like that.
ReplyDeleteWhat puzzles me is how any normal, average, reasonably intelligent person can walk on this earth for more than half a century and STILL believe in that commie crap??
Work2, as much as I'd LIKE to agree with you, I need to chastize - gently, of course - that we are America where one may have opinions, stand up & express them, etc. Also, just as I'd wish that America were 100% or even 75% Conservative Protestant Christian, if it were so, we'd become lethargic & comatose to what & who we are. We need these differences, even to the point of "hate" to help keep us on our toes, sharpening our swords for battle.
ReplyDeleteWe have so many examples of this before us- The Old Testament Israel & Judah, USA over esp. the last 100 years, the near-past England just to name a few- that we SHOULD be able to stand up & argue our point clearly & firmly, yet we see our "leaders" cower to the Opiate of Power
Gizmo if prodestant Christian, probably so,they held onto some things when they broke off of the Catholic church that weakened their Christian stance. When Israel came out of Egypt they held onto things they should not have, those things eventually split them and brought them down. They allowed allowed the differences you talk about to remain among them. If you really have read Gods Word you would see and hear Him tell them, drive them from among you,do not allow these things to be. If we were trully a 100% Christian nation we would not have the problems we have today but like Israel we have allowed a little here and a little there because everyone deserves their own way of believing wheather it be some other god or the devil until it has become a deadly disease among us.

ReplyDeleteThink of this every time you hear a new convert speak with authority, and then pray.
