Obama Effectively Overturns Chris Christie's Abortion Veto: Earmarks Additional 3 Million For New Jersey Planned Parenthood

Barack Obama and Senate Democrats Frank Lautenberg and Robert Menendez weren't about to take New Jersey Governor Chris Christie's veto of state funds to Planned Parenthood affiliates in New Jersey lying down.

In a move that will certainly turn out to be an end-run around Christie's veto, Lautenberg and Menedez proudly announced that the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) will be earmarking 3.1 million dollars of taxpayer money to Planned Parenthood affiliates in the State of New Jersey.

This latest round of hefty financial support brings the total federal funding for New Jersey's Planned Parenthood affiliates for the year to approximately 6.3 million dollars. Marjorie Dannenfelser, president of Susan B. Anthony List, condemned this appropriation of money by the Obama Regime: Obama's "loyalty to Planned Parenthood - the nation’s largest abortion business and his top political ally - knows no limits. For the second time in this month alone, the Obama Administration has announced it will grant taxpayer funding to local Planned Parenthood affiliates and their allies despite action taken by state and local leaders to get taxpayers out of the abortion business.” Marie Tasy, of New Jersey Right to Life, also had some choice words on this sick and blatent attempt to keep the abortion business up-and-running in New Jersey: “Last year, a Planned Parenthood affiliate in Perth Amboy, New Jersey was caught on camera showing a willingness to aid and abet sex traffickers of young women." Tasy went on to say that Obama "is clearly more concerned with protecting Planned Parenthood’s bottom line so they can continue to support his re-election campaign at the taxpayer’s expense than protecting women and girls from the violence of sex trafficking and abortion.” Author: America's Conservative News
