Breaking: Mike Pence Betrays Conservatives And America...

Thanks to Indiana's RINO Governor Mike Pence, you can now kiss your religious liberties goodbye.  '1st Amendment... we don't need no stinking 1st Amendment.' ... The problem is not that Mike Pence's "legislative carve-out" guts the Religious Freedom Restoration Act, the problem is that the "legislative carve-out" TRANSFORMS the Religious Freedom Restoration Act into the Religious Freedom Eradication And Suppression Act...

(Daily Caller) Religious freedom advocates appear to have lost the fight in Indiana.

Indiana’s top two Republicans announced at a press conference Thursday that the state’s Religious Freedom Restoration Act, which incited national uproar from critics calling it discriminatory, will be updated to explicitly protect gay people from discrimination, The Indianapolis Star reports.

The new language will prevent RFRA from being used broadly to discriminate against gay people and may make it more difficult for businesses like florists and bakers to argue a burden on their religion.

The update still requires a vote from the legislature and signature from the governor, but the public commitment from the state’s top two Republican lawmakers, House Speaker Brian Bosma and Senate President Pro Tem David Long, indicates the measure has a good chance of passing.

  5. I still don't understand how serving a product to someone who may be gay can possibly hurt a persons business.

  6. If we get anymore Rinos in the Republican party, I may have to reconsider my party affiliation. Where in the hell are these guys coming from?

  7. Ask the owner of the Pizza shop. I am sure she can give you an excellent answer to your stupid question.

  8. I can tell you how this could happen. This answer can also apply to the restaurant owner in Vermont that had to stopped serving Bacon. Your President is a Gay Muslim.

  9. Pence caved and in doing so lost any chance he had of running for President. He threw Christians under the bus, and allowed the Gay community to make him look weak. Where are the rights of a Christian who will serve anyone in their restaurants or bakery's but draw a line in participating in a wedding of a bride and groom of the same gender. Where's are the rights for Christians to practice their religion, and not be forced to abandon their beliefs. . Are establishments run by Islamic's subjected to the same rules? Will they cater my grandchild's first Holy Communion party with a cake inscribed with words praising Jesus. I Doubt it! I hope somebody tries to test other non- christian shops to see if they are held to the same standards as Christians. I doubt that to. No, my name is not Thomas!

  10. Stupid? Wondering as to the mechanism of irrational hate is stupid? How can a client being gay hurt anyone's business? Explain it to me since you seem to be so knowledgeable.

  11. She is not against serving gays in her pizzeria but she would not serve them at a gay marriage.

  13. Just one more typical Republican who has no back bone. I refused to support Romney because he was the author of the Massachusetts healthcare law which became the model for Obamacare. Hardly a penny's worth of difference between the Republicans and Democrats. I'm not wasting one penny on the Republicans who continue to insulate Barack Hussein Obama from the conservative population of America!

  14. How would you like to have to take photographs of two sodomites getting it on during their wedding ceremony? A lady photographer refused to witness such filth and lost her business because of the slimy country America has become!

  15. Christians should leave Indiana - businesses should relocate and some States need to become refuges for American Christians because there appears to be an agenda here to eliminate Christianity from the USA. The American Christians need to understand that prayer is a more effective weapon against evil than voting because whoever you vote for now they appear to have the identical policies.

  16. Indiana turned blue because of a democrat in republican clothes. Pence has shown his true color - blue. Is he a closet homosexual? Pedophile? Adulterer? Was he threatened? Bribed? If none of the above, he's the traitor to his party just described.

  17. VOTE ONLY PRO LIFE AND TEA PARTY. RINOS ARE DEMOCRATS
    IN WAITING.

  18. Well, it is time to break up the United States. One section for Homosexuals and their supporters to live and rest of the United States be broken into 5 to 6 nations. One of them for liberal progressives.

  19. These guys are so cowardly it boggles the mind. What are they so afraid of? If you are a Christian, your eternity is secure, so stand up for the Lord. The Lord does not sanction the lukewarm. He say He will spit them out.

  20. Are you dense. It is not that they are Sodomites. They are hurting Christian businesses because of refusal to have anything to do with a "homosexual wedding". Do you get it now? It really is not too difficult to grasp. This is an all out war on Christianity, not about the rights of perverts.

  21. RINO governor Mike Spence needs to be replaced next time he runs for re-election....Indiana Citizens, REMEMBER HE CAVED IN!!! to the whiners, which he did not need to do. He lost all respect as far as I'm concerned. Conservatives stick to their Constitutional principles no matter who whines whether it is the perverts, their legislators, the lamestream media, etc.

  22. Well stated, joanc. Another RINO that needs to be voted out.

  23. Yeah, RINOS are democrats in waiting....McCain, McConnell, Graham, etc. etc.

  24. Not everyone lives for just "the money" but their lives revolve around their personal religious beliefs. The people refusing to work for the gay demands know they are "missing out" on the money....that's not of prime importance to them.....they live up to their principles. They are to be commended for that, not punished by the whiners.

  27. Folks, if your religion is important to you, there are two ways you can deal with this as a business owner. The first is to have exorbitant prices for you services, and offer deep discounts to Christians to make your prices for us competitive. The second is to price your services for a specific design, and charge a large premium for non-standard services. So, for instance, a wedding cake provider can produce cakes for standard Christian wedding services (a man and a woman) and agree to produce specialty wedding cakes (for non-standard weddings, such as a man and a man), for a premium, of, say 200% over your standard price. This will price you out of the market. You will not be discriminating; you will just be charging a premium for what you do not provide as a regular service.
