'Run Away Ben, Run Away'

Perhaps the slogan "Run Ben, Run" should be changed to 'Run Away Ben, Run Away." Dr. Ben Carson showed his true colors and his willingness to capitulate to the radical left by apologizing for comments that drew the ire of the radical homosexual movement.

(Washington Times) Ben Carson is apologizing for suggesting that "a lot of people who go into prison straight" come out gay.

On Wednesday evening the retired pediatric neurosurgeon and newly announced 2016 Republican candidate walked back comments he made in a CNN interview that aired early Wednesday.

"Because a lot of people who go into prison go into prison straight -- and when they come out, they're gay," Carson originally said. "So, did something happen while they were in there? Ask yourself that question."

In a statement to CNN's Carol Costello Wednesday night, he apologized after facing harsh criticism for his words.

"I realized that my choice of language does not reflect fully my heart on gay issues," Carson said. "I do not pretend to know how every individual came to their sexual orientation. I regret that my words to express that concept were hurtful and divisive. For that I apologize unreservedly to all that were offended."

    2. No one is perfect, but if the first attack causes a man or woman running for office to turn his back on his convictions, I can't trust him (or her) to represent the voters. Heaven knows our country is going to be destroyed just like Sodom and Gomorrah because God's laws never change. Already Christians and Jews are under attack by the homosexual agenda, trying to force Pastors to marry homosexuals and businesses owned by Christians to ignore their beliefs or be fined, or worse, go to jail. This is just the beginning of the end for our county.

  2. Carson knew what he said was a lie when he said it. For such a brilliant neurosurgeon, he has absolutely no common sense.

    1. How do you know it was a lie? He never said it was not true, just sorry people were offended. I would not have apologized. Speak your mind and heart. How it comes out is how it is. If you are offended by it, get a life.

  4. What a shame - he could not stand up to his beliefs.
He ruined his chance at the Presidency for me. I am disappointed.

  5. I told you all this would come out. He is NOT presidential quality - not the strong, warrior type we need NOW. He's not a conservative - he's a democrat in republican clothes. The mainstream media pushes him in our face with more coverage than they give to more important issues. That alone shouldl cause us to reject him, More is to come - wait for it. And stop getting emotional every time a candidate tells you what you want to hear. He's lying. Don't make the same mistake you made with obama. Next time, vote with your mind, not your brains.

    2. Marlene, you touch on an important topic.
@Laura Ingraham uses the metaphor of brainwaves to describe how people vote.

Most talking heads display little-to-no BW activity.

Many voters vote along political lines. Some vote along racial lines. Some vote because the received a free cell-phone.

I recall the little cartoon characters, "..we are doomed.."

  6. yeah, i thought when i heard what he said about homosexuals that he was spot on! i had determined that i would never vote for a black man/woman for president ever until i heard him say that. i was very impressed with his candid and honest opinion that i immediately was considering following him to the WH. But now, no way! just another appeaser looking for fame and fortune. the black guy in there now has all but distroyed the USA and utill we get him out, there is little hope. i was really wanting to believe Dr Carson, but not now for sure.

  7. I see disqus doesn't live here so we're all anonymous. Too bad really.

I recommend everyone dig out their copy of "Mr. Smith goes to Washington; " {Mr. Smith Goes to Washington (1939)} Jimmy Stewart

Everyone sees through a "glass darkly." Washington is corrupt. All political parties are corrupt. Everybody is at the "feeding trough."

Do we want an outsider like Dr. Carson or another Saul Alinski sycophant?
