John Boehner Thinks He's The Leader Of The Tea Party

Oh yes... he actually went there... and then, just in case anyone doubted whether or not he was smoking illegal substances, Mr. Oblivious proceeded to give explanations that made it apparent that he has no concept, whatsoever, what the Tea Party stands for...






(ALPAC) It's no secret that conservative Republican members of the House don't exactly get along with Speaker John Boehner. If you ask, say, Rep. Justin Amash (R-Mich.) or Raul Labrador (R-Idaho), they’d say Boehner is the epitome of the Republican Establishment.

However, Boehner thinks differently of himself. In fact, in a Wednesday night interview with Fox News' Brett Baier, Boehner proclaimed, "I was the Tea Party before there was a Tea Party":

"I was the Tea Party before there was a Tea Party," Boehner said, responding to a question from Fox News Channel’s Bret Baier about whether he could keep the GOP united.

"I understand their concerns, I understand their frustrations," the speaker continued. "But we have a Constitution that we abide by and we’re going to live by it. And that means we have separate, equal branches of government. And whether people like it or not, Barack Obama is going to be the president for the next two years."
