Exactly how many illegal aliens are still in this country in spite of

A report released Wednesday shows almost 900,000 illegal aliens remain in the
United States with final orders to leave the country. Of those, 167,000 are
convicted criminals.
The report, authored by Jessica Vaughan, Director of Policy Studies at the Centers for Immigration Studies (CIS), reviews a Department of Homeland Security (DHS) document that reveals 883,000 illegal aliens are required to leave the country, but have yet to do so.

Vaughan called the current immigration policy “a joke.”
"Prosecutorial discretion as practiced by the Obama administration has transformed immigration enforcement into a massive catch-and-release program that makes a joke of the law, fails to deter illegal settlement, and allows even illegal aliens who commit crimes to remain here."
