Ron Paul Predicts Feds Will Show Up In Force At Bundy Ranch

Former Congressman Ron Paul says that the Bundy Ranch standoff is far from over and is predicting that the feds will come back with "deadly force."

(CBS LAS VEGAS) – Although federal agents left the Nevada ranch standoff over Cliven Bundy’s land this past weekend, former Rep. Ron Paul is one of several officials predicting that the situation is likely far from over, warning that government agents ultimately returned to end the 1993 Waco standoff with deadly force.

Speaking on to Fox News Monday, leading libertarian advocate of minimal government, Paul said that he is glad the Bureau of Land Management stood down from the cattle showdown with rancher Cliven Bundy – but continued land battles are on the horizon.

"I’m hoping this is a very positive of things to come, where the people stand up and object to the federal government's intrusion into our lives and everything that we do," Paul told Fox News.

"And when the people do get together and stand up, if think the governments will be forced to back down. But the other thing is governments don’t give up their power easily and they may well come back with a lot more force, like they did at Waco with the Davidians."

  1. For once, I hope Randy is correct. This free loader needs to be brought down. He is effectively stealing from all of us.

    1. Stealing what? Pasture grass for grazing cows? You should be more worried about the cronyism perpetrated by the Reid family in this fiasco. With all the Reid connections from the BLM and China deals, this thing stinks to high heaven.

    2. there is a standard fee per head, per month for grazing stock on federal land.

All other ranchers pay the fee. By not paying, Bundy is stealing from the government and as a result, stealing form all of us.

The federal government must come down on Bundy, hard.

Hopefully the idiots that showed up will not force a confrontation.

  3. If this rogue government is going to start enforcing laws they better start with illegal immigration first Thats what they are getting paid for, and by the citizens who pay thr outrageous salaries i might add. Right now the feds. are about to bite the hand that feeds them.those illegals dont pay thr wages, We do.You cant get away with enforcing laws on the American people and not illegal immigrants. Its time we put a stop to it and the Bundy ranch is a good place as any to start. The Alamo did a good job but i think the Bundy Ranch will do better. And the people will come.

  4. I am not sure I understand the full story about the depute in Nevada, But, as I understand the facts, the federal government owns most of the land in Nevada. The governor of the state agrees with this. This may be absolutely true. My problem with the whole ordeal is, these people have grazed there cattle on this land, federal or otherwise, for generations. Why is the government now deciding to push them off the the land or pay Millions in fees. Why have there cattle been slaughtered? Why isn't anything being said about Senator Reid' s sons deal with an offshore country to purchase land to build upon. Why has senator Reid s been rewarded with a $900,000,00 contribution buy the same country that his son is negotiating with? Can someone help me out on this?

    1. The government has taken him to court repeatedly. He has not won once.

He owes the money, he must pay up.

He is a free loading rancher.
