IRS Rips Group's Tax Exempt Status For Criticizing Hillary Clinton

The IRS had to go back 10 years to find the "infraction," but far-left George Soros-funded organizations remain untouched.

(WND) On Monday, USA Today published an IRS document confirming that in February the IRS revoked the tax-exempt status for the Patrick Henry Center for Individual Liberty, a small, conservative group founded in 1997 and based in Manassas, Va., that had operated for years as a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization.

The IRS cited a 2004 column by the group’s president, former FBI agent Gary Aldrich, that was critical of John Kerry and a 2005 fundraising letter that criticized Hillary Clinton.

The liberal behemoth Media Matters is also a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization, one that claims on its website to be a "progressive research and information center dedicated to comprehensively monitoring, analyzing, and correcting conservative misinformation in the U.S. media."

Media Matters operates freely as a tax-exempt organization without any apparent interference from the IRS, while its website has literally thousands of highly partisan political articles on public display, virtually all of them advocating extremely liberal positions.

  1. This is getting to be downright scary. What happened to free speech. These people should be criticized for their many many infractions of the law and their underhanded dealings.

  2. The IRS has no right to comment on anything.. They are there to only collect taxes. They are overreaching their place and someone needs to stop them. They can only rule on what is real not on what someone might do. To make comments like this is why we must do away with this political propaganda machine. They are not allowed to do this and must be eliminated from our government.

  4. We are fast approaching the stage of the ultimate inversion: the stage where the government is free to do anything it pleases, while the citizens may act only by permission; which is the stage of the darkest periods of human history, the stage of rule by brute force. - Ayn Rand

  5. What has happened to this country, there was a time when we had freedom of speech and freedom of thought. It seem since this president was elected we have lost it all everyone talks about fixing the problem but all I hear is talk. The Democrats are the worst to ever happened to this country. I have read American history does it bother anyone that the KKK are all Democrats. They started after the civil war when they terrorized blacks and Republicans. there is nothing good about the Democrats.
