    1. You're the insane fool if you think it can't be done. The present lawmakers are not allowed to be in on the Convention of States; that's what makes this such a powerful movement and it's gaining in momentum. Instead of criticizing, you should be joining the movement; unless, of course, you like the tyranny that's going on in the federal government today and the fact that they're going to come after you pretty soon if we don't revolt.

  4. America faces a severe crisis that too few politicians, both Republicans and Democrats, are willing to face. Americans are finally waking up to just how bad our nanny state is thanks to the ObamaCare debacle. This could indeed light the fire need to get 34 states on board. After all, 30 or so states have Republican governors and/or legislatures. If a Constitutional Amendment Convention doesn't happen, liberty and justice in America are in great jeorp[ardy.

  6. The problem with calling a Constitutional Convention is you open the entire Constitution to change, not just adding an amendment.

  7. I beieve there is an action that can be taken before the Convention that would prevent opening up the entire Constitution. I heard Mark Levin, a Constitutional Lawyer, speak on the subject but have forgotten exactly what he said could be done to prevent that. I think we can google it and get exactly what Mark said,

    1. The object is to "call a convention for a particular subject rather than a particular amendment, i.e., to limit the power and jurisdiction of the federal government." You can read all about the recent Mt. Vernon meeting of 100 legislators form more than 30 states forming plans for a Constitutional Amendment Convention at http://www.conventionofstates.com.

  8. No need for a Constitutional Convention, Bad news. It’s the only way the Constitution can be changed. I suggest we live by the Founding Fathers Docs, stop reading the laws as you see fit. The Constitution is Americas, Change it and you get Obama, Reid and Pelosi.

  9. I would be for this if Dave's remarks are accurate and the delegates could be restricted to what can be addressed. I would hate to see any tampering with our original Bill of Rights by Liberals at such a gathering.

    1. Restricting delegates to a specific theme is part of what was supposed to be established at the Mt. Vernon meeting. So what if liberals bring up something weird? it would have to be accepted by representatives of 2/3 of the states - just 17 votes could defeat a liberal attack on our rights. If a screwy amendment survived the convention, it would then have to be ratified by 3/4 of the states - 13 states could stop it cold. The only amendments that have a chance are issues on which there is a lot of agreement like, say, a balanced budget amendment. The Senate came within one vote of sending such an amendment out for ratification in the mid-1980s. The need for such a spending limit is far more obvious today than it was then.

  10. Convening a constitutional convention is playing into the hands of the progressives and RINOS. Do you really trust the people in the state legislatures to not go hog wild and change the constitution to the detriment of the people. I for one do not. There is not a single politician that I would trust to represent me in a con-con. No convention! NO. HECK NO. HELL NO!!!!!

  11. We need to trust state legislators or go to civil war.
