Republican Congressmen Bar Heritage Foundation From Conservative Meetings

The Heritage Foundation played a major role in founding the Republican Study Committee in Congress and are now being barred from the group's meetings. Could it be revenge for opposition to ObamaCare? We can only speculate...

(Daily Caller) Conservatives on Capitol Hill are buzzing about the news that employees of the Heritage Foundation are no longer allowed to attend a weekly closed-door meeting with a group of conservative House lawmakers.

The National Journal reported this week that those affiliated with the large conservative think tank and its political arm, Heritage Action, are now barred from attending Republican Study Committee weekly meetings.

The RSC is made up of 172 conservative House members. The group’s weekly meetings for lawmakers aren’t open to outsiders, but Heritage has traditionally been allowed to attend for years, as former Heritage president Ed Feulner helped found both organizations.

  2. It sounds that more and more that the RINOs are scared to death. It also sounds as though the Republican party is not interested in enlarging the tent. They just want to be more like Dems. They may want to convert to the Dem party.

  3. Why are the meetings closed to anybody, we are paying for our Government, anybody should be able to attend. If the meetings are Private, then they should be privately funded and not paid for by taxpayers.
