ReplyDeleteWho is being obnoxious - the protestor or the cops? From the vantage point of the Constitution, the protestor was well within his rights to try to prevent others from taking his right to protest away. The cops were unnecessary unless there had been an accident...or an injury - causing an injury via taser without justification is not in their job description. OF COURSE this was in California.....

DeleteApparently this camera user doesn't know county/state ordinances that prohibit the displaying of articles along a street or roadway that goes for banners and flags. AND he was trying to instigate a problem when he threatened the utility worker by saying he was going to prevent him from removing the banner/flag, claiming that it was his personal property. Still he violated laws first and has to answer for that.

ReplyDeleteI do believe that law enforment agencies in this country, not just Ca, Need to exercise restraint. There was no reason to push this kid to the concrete.It is call abuse of authority. The Police state will not survive without taxpayer funding or severe public scrutiny.Most officer's do not know the Constitution or the Bill of rights.they need to be Educated before going out in public and excercising their authority. There job is to enforce existing laws, those guys in the video were giants compare to camera guy they could have just restrained him.There was no reason whatsoever to push him to the cement overpass.It is call police abuse plain and simple. He was not even disrespecfull to the officers or the Caltrans man. I am semi-handicapped.I severe R.A. If those officers push-me to the cement like that I will file a lawsuit against the CHP. Police agencies are going to be be in deepwater as our Nation Continues to fall on severe economic,political and civil hard times.
