Rumors: Ben Affleck To Run For U.S. Senate

(Daily Caller) CBS Boston’s John Keller reported Tuesday that Affleck’s name has been mentioned as a possible replacement for Kerry if President Obama chooses him as Secretary of State.

Affleck, who grew up in Cambridge, is the founder of the Eastern Congo Initiative. He testified before the House Armed Services committee Wednesday about security in the region.

Kerry’s office confirmed the meeting to TheDC and said the two men were photographed together, but there was no opportunity for reporters to ask questions.
