[Video] Ted Turner: It's Good Soldiers Are Killing Themselves
During an appearance on Piers Morgan Tonight, Ted Turner said he thinks it’s
"good" that U.S. soldiers are killing themselves because it shows humanity has
evolved a distaste for war.
It's not in any way good that any member of U.S.A. armed forces would commit suicide. Giving up hope is not the way we face problems. It's true that Obama has made it much harder for our armed forces to have good morale by imposing on them his ideas about homosexuals, but it doesn't seem likely that healthy young adults would choose to take their own lives. In my 83 years of life, I've had a problem or two, but it never has crossed my mind that suicide would be a good thing to do. I've known many who have also served in armed forces and don't know of even one who unless drunk or on drugs would consider suicide regardless of how little they liked or trusted their superiors. Must we believe that members of the armed forces are actually killing themselves? I think not.
