Was Obama Right? Is Bill Clinton A Racist?
"A few years ago, this guy would have been carrying our bags." The
Weekly Standard is reporting that the preceding anecdote appeared in a
New Yorker article in reference to attempts by Clinton to entice the
late-Senator Ted Kennedy to support Hillary Clinton's run in 2008.
| In spite of the fact that Clinton is speaking at the Democratic National Convention this week, the two have shared some rather tense moments over the last several years. |
|
Back in December, it was reported that
Obama turned to Clinton during a golf outing and said, 'you're a racist"
after word got back to Obama that Clinton was telling people that Obama was "the
worst President ever. There is a long history of highly politicized accusations of racism against Clinton from Obama's surrogates. In 2008, CNN political analyst Donna Brazile, Obama spokeswoman Candice Tolliver and a number of others repeatedly implied that Clinton's comments on Obama's lack of experience and his "fairy-tale image" were racially motivated. And back in January of 2010, Al Sharpton played the race card against Clinton in reference to Obama on the Sean Hannity show, and the ongoing onslaught of accusations is clearly getting under Clinton's skin. |
