West Point Instructor Punished To Appease Islamic Radicals

The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff insulted this highly decorated combat veteran in public and relieved him of his teaching assignment at West Point. What was Lieutenant Colonel Matthew Dooley's crime? Apparently the course he taught at the United States Military Academy at West Point, Perspectives on Islam and Islamic Radicalism, wasn't well received or politically correct enough for Islamic Radicals.

According to Right Side News, approximately a year ago, 57 Muslim organizations penned a letter to the Defense Department demanding that all training materials that they deemed to be offensive to Islam be “purged."

Additionally, instructors whose course teachings they deemed offense were to be "effectively disciplined," and it would appear that the White House needed to make an example of someone... enter LTC Dooley, who is presently being represented by the Thomas Moore Law Center. Richard Thompson, President and Chief Counsel of the Thomas More Law Center, who is representing Dooly observed, “In order to appease Muslims and the White House, General Dempsey and the Department of Defense rushed to punish LTC Dooley." "In the process, they violated not only our Nation’s core principles of free speech and academic freedom guaranteed by our Constitution, but also, a number of the military’s own regulations dealing with academic freedom."
