Obama Praises Woman With Terrorist Ties As "An American Patriot"

Barack Obama used the occasion of his fourth annual Ramadan Iftar dinner at the White House to lavish praise on Huma Adebin, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's chief-aide, who is also the wife of disgraced Congressman Anthony Weiner and whose Father, Mother and Brother were chief movers-and-shakers in the Muslim Brotherhood.

The fact that Mr. Obama has now hosted four Ramadan dinners at the White House but still gives Christians the cold shoulder is an offense of the highest order, but it's also a topic for another article.

The issue at hand is Obama's need to lavish praise on Adebin. Addressing the assembled crowd, Obama said: "Huma is an American patriot, and an example of what we need in this country... on behalf of all Americans, we thank you so much."

Rep. Michele Bachmann and four other members of Congress have come under fire, as of late, from the left and a number of Republicans-in-Name-Only, including Senator John McCain and Speaker of the House John Boehner, for inquiring as to whether Adebin, who has multiple family-ties to leaders of the Muslim Brotherhood, poses a security risk in her role as the chief aide to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

However, what is even more disturbing than the fact that Bachmann would come under fire for asking reasonable and legitimate questions, is the almost panic-stricken moves by political leaders on both sides of the aisle and the Lamestream Media to both demonize Bachmann and recast what were known facts for years to conspiracy theories.

The Huffington Post, for example, recently and falsely stated that Bachmann has accused Adebin of "helping the Muslim Brotherhood infiltrate the U.S. government," and that the "Muslim Brotherhood claims [against Adebin] have been widely dismissed."

We find those turns of phrase rather strange because Bachmann didn't say that Adebin was "helping the Muslim Brotherhood infiltrate the U.S. government." She simply requested an inquiry into the matter and moreover, the "Muslim Brotherhood claims" have not only not been "dismissed," but have been openly known facts for years.

Huma Adebin's Father, Mother and Brother were indeed not only tied to the Muslim Brotherhood but were, in fact, major figures within the Muslim Brotherhood, and just about everyone in Washington knew it well prior to Bachmann issuing the request for an inquiry.

Now, no one other than Adebin can truly know what is in her heart. No one even needs to question her patriotism or what is in her heart; and inquiries are not insinuations.

Rational minds must point out that, in spite of what the left-wing media proclaims, no one has made an actual accusation against Adebin or charged her with any crime, or even remotely intends to charge her with any crime.

Bachmann is simply questioning Adebin's fitness, based upon security considerations, for her to hold her present job and moreover, Bachmann simply used Adebin as an example in order to ask much broader questions regarding what exactly is being considered in terms of security at the State Department, particularly when it comes to high-level placements.

The issues Bachmann and the four other member of Congress raised go well beyond Huma Adebin.

As someone who once held low-level clearance in the United States Army some twenty years back, this author can personally vouch that any family connection whatsoever to someone tied to a terrorist organization is an almost automatic disqualifier from having clearance, access or proximity to any sensitive information.

In such cases, the motives or the patriotism of the individual denied clearance aren't even relevant. The denial comes from the knowledge that even the truest patriot who bleeds red, white and blue can be unwillingly compromised based upon a family connection, and Adebin has three immediate connections in the persons of her Father, her Mother and her Brother.

Were Adebin a lowly Private in the Army, based on her family ties, she would more than likely never be granted even the lowest level of clearance, much less be allowed to have such close and intimate access to the US Secretary of State.

Of course, Adebin is no lowly Private in the Army. She is well-connected and her family is also very well connected.

That being the case, perhaps the question we should be asking is why are so many in the political and media establishment jumping through hoops to not only come to Adebin's defense, but slander those (who can't even rightly wear the label of her detractors) who have the audacity to ask legitimate questions?

Is it entirely possible that our present situation is actually in line with the derisive allegation The Huffington Post made against Bachmann, and that factions of the Muslim Brotherhood are already deeply entrenched and have, in fact, "infiltrated" our government?
