ICE Agents Facing Suspensions For Arresting Illegal Aliens

A U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agent is facing suspension for arresting an illegal alien with 10 outstanding traffic violations in Newark, Delaware; and if you're expecting a strange and humorous twist to this story, be advised, non exists.  The reports is strange, sad and unfortunately, true.

According to Fox News the ICE agent's superiors ordered him to release the illegal alien because he was not a "priority target" and when the agent initially refused, he was threatened with suspension and the illegal alien was cut loose.

What's alarming, other than the fact that an American citizen or a legal immigrant with 10 outstanding traffic violations would be in jail right now, is that what transpired is apparently not an isolated incident.

Many suspect this new take on catch-and-release is a direct result of Barack Obama's dictatorial DREAM Act decree and has become standard operating procedure at ICE.

Chris Crane, the president of the National ICE Council, has been saying for weeks now that ICE officials are being punished for simply doing their jobs and morale within ICE has sunk to an all-time low.

Senator Jeff Session of Alabama is demanding some answers. Session wrote an angry letter to ICE director John Morton asking: “The actions that it appears were taken by your agency send a message to agents in the field that they will be punished for doing their duty and enforcing the law.”

In a related story, The Washington Times is reporting that a recently released House Judiciary Committee finding indicates that as many as 16 percent of the approximately 47,000 illegal aliens (that's approximately 7500) the Obama Regime declined to deport from 2008-2011 went on to commit further crimes, including 19 murders, 3 attempted murders and 142 sex crimes.

House Judiciary Committee Chairman Lamar Smith castigated the Obama Regime for what he deemed senseless crimes: “The Obama administration could have prevented these senseless crimes by enforcing our immigration laws, but President Obama continues to further his anti-enforcement agenda while innocent Americans suffer the consequences. His unwillingness to enforce immigration laws puts our communities at risk and costs American lives.”
