When Mitt Romney Came to Town: Watch The Full 28 Minutes Here

Rush Limbaugh said the new Gingrich Super PAC attack ad against Mitt Romney sounds like something straight from an "Occupy Wall Street flyer" and suggestted that Gingrich should have changed the tag line to read: "I am Barack Obama, and I approve of this message." Will the ad backfire on Gingrich or will the highly Populist theme of the ad resonate with South Carolina voters? We want your thoughts. Watch the the full video here and don't forget to leave your comments.

  1. OMG! Is there any honest people in this world. With Romney in office it will be the same as Obama never leaving. The only difference is we would be trading a Muslim for a Morman. This video needs to be shared over and over again and in hopes to find a President who really cares about the American family and will really work for us. Is there such a thing! We need to get Trump back in the race!

  2. I think Newt has every right to do these ads and see if Romney can survive it and defend himself. It may put a dent in Romney and be a boost to some of the Non-Romneys besides Gingrich.

  3. Newt is doing what's best for Newt, certainly not what's best for America, after all his lofty talk of Republicans not attacking one another. I'm no particular fan of Mitt Romney's, but you can bet I'm certainly no fan of Newt Gingrich after this. If he'll behave this way as a candidate, he'll behave this way as president, and I will not vote for him. This will backfire, and he'll deserve the backlash.

  5. My thoughts are these: Was Mitt's actions considered responsible corporate behavior or were they, as Newt seems to be suggesting: "outside the norm of responsible corporate behavior?

    1. Carol, you are one of the useful idiots unleashed by the liberal news media. Mitt Romney was born in Detroit, Michigan...it was his father who was born in an American Colony in Mexico to American Citizens, which makes his father entirely American as well. Do your research before you start telling lies, okay?

  7. Rush Limbaugh's contract is owned by Bain,

as is almost every other conservative talk show host in America since November 2006.

Bain paid $19 billion for Clear Channel Communications in Nov 2006, 1 month before Romney kicked off his 1 year long campaign in Iowa in Jan 2007 and 1 year before the Jan 2008 Iowa Caucuses.

Conservative media, Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Ann Coulter, Laura Ingraham, Mark Levine, Rich Lowry, Hugh Hewitt, and others perpetuated a false idea during the 2008 campaign, i.e. the idea that Romney is conservative. Their scrutiny of Huckabee and McCain's conservative credentials during the 2008 campaign was often emotional and full of highly charged, derogatory terms, while they were silent about holes in Romney's conservative credentials. (see www.massresistance.org for many, many details on Mitt Romney's real record as Governor of Massachusetts 2003-2007)

On Nov 16, 2006, Clear Channel Communications agreed to be acquired by Bain Capital and Thomas Lee Partners for nearly $19 billion. Bain Capital is the private equity firm founded by Mitt Romney in 1984; that he left in 1999 to head the 2002 Olympics; that he sold his majority interest in, in 2001 to run for Governor of Massachusetts; where he is still a silent partner. The sale was completed in Dec 2007 after 1 year of pending negotiations of the leveraged buyout agreement. Clear Channel owns more than 1,100 full-power AM, FM, and shortwave radio stations, twelve radio channels on XM Satellite Radio, and more than 30 television stations in the United States.

Premiere Radio Networks, which is the largest syndication company in the United States, is a wholly owned subsidiary of Clear Channel and is home to Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, FOX NEWS Radio and many other talk radio shows. Premiere Radio Networks is transitioning to a new CEO Charlie Rahilly from Kraig Kitchin. Sean Hannity recently signed a large multi-market contract with Clear Channel.

The early Bain Capital team included Romney's campaign advisor, Robert F. White. According to CNN/Money magazine's Dec 10, 2007 article entitled "Millionaires-in-chief", some 43% of Romney's portfolio is currently invested in Bain Capital. On the Bain Capital website it says "Our principals are the largest single investor in each of Bain Capital's funds,.."

    1. This should be an Obama ad. I liked Newt until this ad came out. This is just like the far left that takes one line from a page and publicizes it as the entire page.

  8. The attack on Romney is an attack on Capitalism. Venture Capitalists go after companies that are in trouble; some ventures work themselves out while others fail. Newt backers should also include the successes of Bain Capital. As far as I am concerned, Newt just lost any chance for his bid for the White House; his baggage far outweighs Romney's baggage.

  9. As a supporter of Newt Gingrich, I was very disappointed in his comments about Romney and Bain Capital. It really did sound like it came from Occupy Wall Street. I have been looking for someone besides Romney for the past year. Bachmann, Cain and Santorum all have flamed out; and I never liked Paul, Perry or Huntsman. Now, Newt is once again finding a way to put his foot in his mouth.
