Restuarant Owner Who Said He Wouildn't Cater A 'Gay Weddings' Receives Death Threats Closes Restaurant

And there you have it... the real reason why radical leftists oppose the Religious Freedom Restoration Act... without it, people of faith would have recourse when they are bullied or intimidated.






(Daily Caller) The owners of Wakerton, Indiana pizzeria Memories Pizza became an overnight cultural flashpoint after a local news interview went viral in which they asserted they wouldn’t serve their pizza at a gay wedding. But according to one prominent conservative who spoke to the owners, they’ve now received “a lot of death threats.” (VIDEO: Al Sharpton Compares Indiana Religious Freedom Law To Slavery, Jim Crow)

"If a gay couple came in and wanted us to provide pizzas for their wedding, we would have to say no," owner Crystal O’Connor said, adding that they were a Christian establishment. The O’Connors stressed that they’d have no problem serving gay customers generally, but couldn’t service weddings.

The story went national, with coverage from outlets like Mediaite, MSNBC, Mother Jones, Gawker, ABC News, and yes, The Daily Caller. #MemoriesPizza went viral on Twitter, and outraged Internet denizens responded by bombarding the pizzeria’s Yelp page with one-star reviews.
