(WCJ) Hundreds of people, perhaps more, are feared to have been killed in the attack, which could be the worst in Boko Haram’s six year reign.
Shekau said: "We killed the people of Baga. We indeed killed them, as our Lord instructed us in His Book."
Tens of thousands fled into Chad and Niger as Boko Haram burnt much of the town to the ground and razed at least sixteen nearby settlements.
