Thank you, thank you for stating the obvious facts about pot smoking that stoned Seattleites do not understand! As a high school teacher, I have tried in vain to motivate the glassy eyed student pot smokers whose only marked activity is to slide involuntarily from their chairs onto the floor, collapsing in a stupor. We will be supporting these stoners for the rest of their lives as they will be totally unable to live productive lives. As a native Seattleite, I am just furious about the new lackadaisical and tolerant police attitude toward all the Hemp Fest stoners who were SMOKING IN PUBLIC, which is forbidden by the new permissive law. Myrtle Edwards Park, site of Hemp Fest is a PUBLIC park! Also, the pictures posted by KOMO, a local TV station, show mainly semi-dressed girls, definitely younger than 21, the law's legal age for smoking pot. The pictures show no evidence of police issuing citations for smoking in public and under age 21. It's outrageous and indicative of the decay of rule by law that is happening throughout this country with Seattle being the leader. I encourage any Seattleites who may be reading this to write our illustrious Mayor and City Council members about requiring the police force to actually enforce law instead of handing out goodies to entice participation by young kids in the process of getting stoned.
