Shameful: Skewed Rasmussen Poll Falsely Claims Republicans Prefer Christie For Prez

A new Rasmussen Reports poll indicates Republican voters favor New Jersey Governor Chris Christie and Florida Sen. Marco Rubio for the GOP nomination in 2016... but there is a glaring problem with the poll...

Rasmussen asks: "Suppose the 2016 Republican Presidential Primary were held in your state today. If you had a choice between Marco Rubio, Chris Christie, Rand Paul, Jeb Bush, Scott Walker or Paul Ryan, for whom would you vote?"

So what's the problem? The potential 2016 GOP candidates who are actually popular with the GOP base (with the exception of Rand Paul) were, perhaps intentionally, left out of the poll.

In a non-scientific poll conducted by America's Conservative News last week, two of the potential candidates not included in the Rasmussen poll, Senator Ted Cruz and former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin, took a total of 58.1 % of the vote.

Texas Senator Ted Cruz won the ACN GOP Presidential Straw Poll with a commanding 45.4% of the vote. Trailing Cruz were Rand Paul (28.0%), Sarah Palin (12.7%), Jeb Bush (3.0%), Paul Ryan (2.9%), Rick Santorum (2.6%), Marco Rubio (2.1%), Bobby Jindal (2.0%) and Chris Christie took the final slot with only 1.2% of the vote.

The Rassmussen results read as follows: Christie 21%, Marco Rubio 18%, Jeb Bush at 16%, Rand Paul with 15%, Paul Ryan, 13%. Scott Walker 6% and 11% claimed they were undecided of preferred another candidate.

It would have been more honest if Rasmussen asked: Which of the following RINOs would you support for President, and we would challenge Rasmussen to conduct another poll placing conservative candidates into the mix, but we doubt he's listening...

  2. When are they going to only propose Constitutionally eligible candidates. Rubio and Cruz aren't.

  3. Why would we be interested in a couple more liberals in GOP clothing. The only benefit of those 2 would be that they aren't total socialists like the current administration, instead they're just libs.

  5. I do not know who was ask for whom they would vote but if the answers were actually Christie and Rubio, then these people need to have brain surgery. The GOP is going to make the same mistake as they did in the last election. They are going to be a bunch of loseers that debate and none of them have any answers and they will beat one another up making them look like complete fools. The Liberal Democrats are already laughing their rear ends off!! The GOP has no one at this time to even come close to being a viable candiate. They better quit listening to these skewed polls and listen to the people!! Hasn't Karl Rove proven this already. Ted Cruz is raising some eyebrows but they better lay to rest the question of his eligibility now. They better start looking at Dr. Ben Carson! He is head and shoulders above any of the present GOP crowd. I am just like Grandmas Mad, if this is the only people to vote for, this would be the first time in my 74 years that I do not vote. The whole GOP bunch in Washington need to be VOTED OUT, PEROID!!!! Reince Pribus better get off his rear and read the riot act to the GOP. Isn't this part of his job as GOP National Committee Chairman. The whole bunch in Washington are complete idiots!!
