Benghazi Impeachment Suddenly Not So Far-Fetched
|
The scandal thus far has at least tarnished and quite possibly implicated
everyone from the CIA director, to the secretaries of State and Defense, to the
UN ambassador and, of course, the president himself — with no end in sight,
because Obama, normally loath to expose himself and even less so in an election
season, refuses to answer questions on the subject. Input Your Primary Email Address Below And You'll Receive A Free Gift, Our Downloadable Report On The Cloward-Piven Strategy.

Mr.
Dear Mr. :
Thank you for contacting me regarding President Obama. I appreciate hearing from you.
I acknowledge your disagreement with President Obama, however, I want to assure you that it is my deepest belief that the President wants what is best for this country. President Obama is a strong leader who has worked throughout his career to improve our nation's health care system, encouraged diplomatic relations with foreign countries, reduced our dependence on foreign oil, and ensured accountability and transparency in government. Under his leadership, critical legislation such as the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, the Affordable Care Act, the Lily Ledbetter Fair Pay Act, and the Credit Cardholders' Bill of Rights have become law.
As you know, impeachment is a very serious matter. The Constitution sets forth the general principles which control the procedural aspects of impeachment, vesting the power to impeach in the House of Representatives, while granting the Senate with the power to try impeachments. In any case, the proceedings would have to be initiated by the House Committee on the Judiciary. The focus of an impeachment inquiry is to determine whether the person involved has engaged in treason, bribery, or other high crimes and misdemeanors. If the House Committee on the Judiciary, by majority vote, determines that grounds for impeachment exist, a resolution impeaching the individual in question and setting forth specific allegations of misconduct, in one or more articles of impeachment, will be reported to the full House. As of right now there exists no evidence to warrant impeachment of the President.

John Dingell
