Warning: Parental Consent Required To Hear Rick Santorum Speak

No... we're not making it up. Apparently the PC-Police have now declared Rick Santorum age-inappropriate for listeners under the age of 18...

(Daily Caller) School district officials in Grosse Pointe, Michigan have canceled a decision to allow Rick Santorum to speak at Grosse Pointe South High School, then reversed that cancellation.

  1. The reason for requiring the parental permission signatures might be related to concern about violating a state/school district regulation against promoting political beliefs and involving students in political work or matters. I'm not sure if this prohibition against involving students in political action of any kind is a national or state rule, but it could be the innocuous reason for the parental permission requirement. In a school district in which I taught, students could not even be allowed to participate in promoting the school levy election.
