GOP Congressman Calls Conservatives 'Assholes'

It was an obvious attempt by Congressman Lynn Westmoreland (R-GA) to defend John Boehner's indefesible and Stalinist purge of conservatives in Congress, but in attempting to bolster the false arguement that these conservatives were not purged for their conservative principles, Westmoreland essentially refuted his own argument. Specifically, Westmoreland said: "I guess you could say it was an asshole factor."

And just what is the "asshole factor?" Westmoreland, who later apologized for the profanity, explained: “Now I wasn’t calling any member in particular an asshole, I was just trying to describe an environment where some people that you’re trying to work with, they just don’t want to work within the system.”

Does sticking to core conservative principles make one an "asshole?" ... and the elites in the GOP still can't figure out exactly why conservatives are losing faith in the Grand Old Party.

  1. OH! Congressman Westmoreland, you must have been looking in the mirror when you stated that "It must have been an a-hole factor!" That is precisely what you seem to be, siding with marxist democrats!
