Ouch: Dems Move Obama's Speech So He Won't Play To A Half-Empty Stadium
The Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, N.C. seats approximately 74,000
people, but when we heard Megyn Kelly of Fox News proclaim yesterday that 35,000
people were expected to attend the Democratic National Convention, we wondered
what the Democratic Party was going to do to avoid the prospect of a nationwide
television audience seeing Barack Obama delivering his acceptance speech to a
half-empty stadium.

Of course, Democratic officials are trying to downplay the move. According to
the Daily Mail a
Democratic party officials gave the following statement: "We don't want to put
anyone in harm's way, so that's really what we're looking for, not if it's going
to rain but if it's going to be really bad.” Will the "Blame It On The Rain" strategy work? Will the Obama media simply repeat the DNC talking points or will someone itching for a juicy story tell the truth and let the cat out of the bag that Obama's message of hope and change from four years ago isn't even exciting his own troops anymore. |
Slick! Move it to a venue that holds 20,000 vs 74,000 Dummycrats so it looks like a huge crowd turned out. It'd be funnier than hell if only 10,000 showed up.

DeleteThey are covering their butts by bussing in people from outer areas/states. Remember how they bussed in out-of-staters (mostly union members) into Wisconsin to protest Scott Walker?
DeleteYeah, just went & checked that the weather is calling for only 40% chance of rain! These same guys were willing to stnad in the SNOW & COLD of a DC winter to celebrate his "ordination"!?!? It's the old sales tactic of having too many people for venue than a 1/2 empty one... Make the speaker look important, the product purposeful.

DeleteIt is interesting that they are even talking about this on USAToday, the most liberal probama rag around. A couple weeks ago they even hinted at this because he was begging for money. There were plans to bus in college kids (again) and some black Churches.
