What Do You Mean My Dog Can't Vote Democrat.

In a stunning move, Attorney General Eric Holder's Justice Department initiated an investigative action against the Commonwealth of Virginia, claiming that recent attempts by the Commonwealth to purge the voter rolls of dead household pets constitutes a severe civil rights violation. Before, you read too far, know that we made the preceding up... at least the part about Holder is made up, the part about dead pets registering to vote is another matter altogether.

Actually, Dan Spencer with RedState.com is reporting that the Romney campaign is demanding an investigation into the matter.

At issue are the alleged shenanigans of an organization calling itself the Voter Participation Center which, according to Spencer and the Associated Press "has touted the distribution of some five million registration forms in recent weeks, targeting Democratic-leaning voting blocs such as unmarried women, blacks, Latinos and young adults."

One can only surmise that Team Obama is growing less confident that a strong turn-out among the deceased will be enough to assure their candidate a satisfactory margin of victory and is now reaching out to previously disenfranchised groups such as dead pets and young children.

Seriously though, while the alleged antics of the Voter Participation Center bring a whole new meaning to the old expression "yellow dog Democrat," as more information comes to light, the situation grows even more surreal. Read the shocking new details at RedState.com.
