Prominent Conservatives Hint At Do-Over On Coming Romney Nomination

(NewsMax.com) Romney's missteps on issues such as immigration and healthcare - and images of him on a jet ski during a vacation at his New Hampshire estate this week - have exasperated some supporters who are calling for a shake-up of his staff and worrying he could bungle Republicans' chances of ousting Democratic President Barack Obama in the Nov. 6 election.

The concerns were summarized in an editorial late on Wednesday by The Wall Street Journal, which said Romney's Boston-based staff was "slowly squandering an historic opportunity."

The anxiety over Romney's campaign has been heightened this week by its conflicting messages over his position on a key part of the Supreme Court's ruling that upheld Obama's healthcare overhaul. But it was only the latest example of message problems from a campaign that even some Republicans say is being outmaneuvered by Obama's team.

  1. I'm afraid the Democrats are holding back until closer to the election to really unload on him about his rich connections. They are already laying the groundwork to protray him as "out of touch" with common people, rich, pro wall street, etc. As we get closer I look to see the "Wall Street Protesters" in masses all over the country. Hopefully all conservatives, third party people, non-RINO Republicans, Regan Democrats, etc. will unite and get behind Romney and the Dick Morris, Karl Rove, etc. GURU's will suggest the right VP pick and get Romney saying and doing the right things. We're stuck with him and it's our only chance to save America. In God We Trust, Bill J. Spence

Romney is our man, like it or not. Any complaints about him publicly by Republicans or Tea Party people should be done privately and constructively in a way that doesn't denigrate him in front of his base, or give fodder to his rivals. People with concern should voice it in a way that can reach Romney and provide good input for him. We all need to be synchronized in this effort if we want to win. Vince Lombardi would fire someone on the team if they cried out to the press or public with complaints of things internal to the team. What he wanted was for each and every member of the team to support the team only. He knew how to build winning teams. He's the one that said "Show me a good loser and I'll show you a loser". Romney is a good business man, and like all CEO's he is probably surrounded by 5 or 6 highly talented advisers that communicate well with each other and with Romney and are respected for their thoughts, strategies and input by Romney. They need to operate together like the parts of a beautifully designed and highly oiled machine. Thoughts and input from all other well-meaning Conservatives should funnel their thoughts to this Romney Team and not to the press or the opposing camp. One of the sayings I coined when I ran my company was "Good things don't just happen, you make them happen". Now let's break this huddle and go out and show them what a winning team looks like. When the game is over we don't want to be the ones going home on the losing bus where everyone stares at the floor in silence. This country is worth fighting for, it's where we've put our dreams and hopes for ours and our families futures. We have the most beautiful, well thought out, constitutional three branch government devised by a most highly intelligent group of Founding Fathers who left behind the kind of totalitarian, socialistic governments our current administration seems to be hell-bent on taking us back to. We have enjoyed being the greatest country on earth. We have been the role model for many. More people have wanted to come and share what we have than any other country in the world. The world is not a better place than it was after WWII. By taking this country forward as a free market constitutional government we could be a role model again and show the world how our form of government can lead to prosperity, freedom and liberty for all. We have so much to lose that we have no choice but to win this fight. The winning bus is waiting for us. Let's rally around Mitt Romney and his team and get this job done. I know we can do it.

A note came across my desk yesterday i'd like to share with you: "The greatest human quality is that of becoming unstoppable! And you become unstoppable by refusing to quit, no matter what happens". That's us!

    1. Anyone who does not want another four years of a socialistic president will heed your words. I would not doubt that it is the DNC who is propogating these thoughts of second guessing. Republicans must stay FIRM and COMMITTED else our country is lost.

  3. I'll have to admit one thing,Liberals stick to their beliefs and candidates like Gorilla Glue while Republicans run around like dogs chasing their tails. There is no room for such crap in this election. Whether or not Romney is the best or worst candidate,we have to unite and get our guy in comes hell or high water. Obama and liberalism along with radical environmentalism has to be defeated, I don't care what. We cannot sustain 4 more years of the road to socialist hell like California residents currently dwell in. Unite, unite, unite,! I want cheaper energy costs,a lower cost of living, fewer taxes and regulations, and my second amendment rights preserved as ironclad.

With great men like you...responsible for the enormous accomplishments of this magnificent land, both in times of peace and of war, we will overcome these hardships...imposed on us by recent events and internal enemies...and be known again as the unstoppable force of liberty to which you refer. God bless you, sir!
