Southern Baptist Convention's Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission Reprimands Richard Land And Cancels His Radio Show For Telling The Truth
(WashingtonExaminer.com) The Southern Baptist Convention's Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission has publicly reprimanded a top official, Richard Land, over comments he made on his national radio show regarding the case of slain Florida teen Trayvon Martin.
According to CNN, the trustee for the organization announced that in March, during his 'Richard Land Live!' show, Land called Rev. Al Sharpton and other African American activists “racial ambulance chasers.”
Additionally, the Religion News Service reports Land said, “When there is violence it's going to be Jesse Jackson's fault... It's going to be Al Sharpton's fault. It's going to be Louis Farrakhan's fault, and to a certain degree it's going to be President Obama's fault.”
