Pelosi: Archdiocese Not Speaking For Catholics On Obama Contraception Mandate

We thought we had seen it all.  We thought we had heard it all, but former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi has just proved, to anyone that is still willing to listen to her lunatic rants, that she's taken one too many trips on the looney train.  On Thursday, Pelosi actually had the nerve to say that the Catholic Archdiocese is not speaking for the Catholic Church by objecting to the recent Obama mandate that religious institutions will now be required, under penalty of "law," to cover sterilizations, abortions and contraception.  Pelosi's inference is clear. The Catholic Church no longer speaks for the Catholic Church, the Pope no longer speaks for the Catholic Church, the bishops no longer speak for the Catholic Church; only she, Nancy Pelosi, speaks for the Catholic Church. 

Tyranny, they name is Pelosi. Her statements make a good arguement for the Catholic Church bringing back the practice of ex-communication.  CNSNews logger the following report.

(CNSNews.com) - House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D.-Calif.) said on Thursday that the 43 Catholic institutions—including the Archdiocese of Washington, D.C., the Archdiocese of St. Louis and the Archdiocese of New York--that are suing the Obama administration over its regulation mandating that all health-care plans must cover sterilizations, contraceptives and abortifacients are not speaking for the Catholic Church.

“What about the 43 Catholic institutions [that] have now sued the administration over the regulation that requires them to provide contraceptives, sterilizations, and abortifacients in their health care plans?” CNSNews.com asked. “They say that violates their religious freedom.  Do you support the Catholic Church in their lawsuits against the administration?”

“Well, I don’t think that’s the entire Catholic Church,” Pelosi responded. “Those people have a right to sue, but I don’t think they’re speaking ex cathedra for the Catholic Church."
