Cokie Roberts: The Pesky Constitution Is The Problem

Just in case you missed it, Cokie Roberts one of the leading voices of the radical left, who for years masqueraded as a journalist, let it slip on ABC This Week that when it comes to S&P's recent downgrade, the Constitution is the problem.

  1. What people in New York? Taken in this context one could say she was praising the constitution not calling it a problem.

  2. I saw this live ... neither of the two conservatives on the panel called her out on it.

  3. Uh...no, Coke-head. The problem is the Constitution was evaded to create excess spending programs that were not authorized in it. Congress is not authorized by the Constitution to create endless spending programs to allow the Treasury to be wasted on pet programs. Social Security and Medicare are not even authorized under any part of the Constitution, for example. Undeclared wars are not authorized by the Constitution, yet Congress refuses to stop paying for them.

Cokie, what part of our Constitution have you actually read?
