Right - Lincoln believed in "compromise" so much that he breached the Constitution and engaged in a war with a Sovereign Nation - the Southern States had already seceded and formed their own country - AS WAS THEIR RIGHT.
ReplyDeleteThey joined the Union of Sovereign States of their own free will, they had every legal, lawful, moral, and ethical RIGHT to leave the Union of their own free will.
And the act of secession was not settled by the Civil War.
