[Video] Boehner Betrayal: Says He Will Not Throw Lois Lerner In Jail
Betrayal? He admitted to Fox News' Maria Bartiromo that he has the power to
arrest Lois Lerner, but John Boehner says that's not going to happen.
Incidentally, Boehner also excuses his betrayal by stating that Congress has never used its inherent contempt authority to throw anyone in jail. That contention however is incorrect.
In 1934, the United States Senate found William P. MacCracken, Jr., the former Assistant Secretary of Commerce for Aeronautics guilty of Contempt of Congress and sentenced to 10 days imprisonment.
